Hey Mary! That's a bit tacky! If you feel comfortable about keeping it, then by all means keep it. If, however, he's being a cheapskate by not buying you a new necklace, then give it back and tell him to get something else. By the way, I wonder if the "ex" knows what happened to this necklace!
