You're confused? Let's unpack this scenerio. Are you seeing him or "was". Which is it? Either you are or aren't. Make up ya dern mind! If someone tells you they're in love but with a flick of wrist says he can't be in a relationship, that tells me he wants a friend with benefits. He wants to smell the sample, try the wares, drink the milk, without actually buying the (I refuse to say cow Hee hee!) merchandise. Any way you look at it, that's what he's saying. Since you can't discern where you are in this, move on. Even if you have feelings for him remember what I said about buying the merchandise!
