I accidentally put salt in my coffee instead of sugar. Help!!

Is this a gotcha? Do you really not know what to do? We consulted a highly trained scientist, and this is what they recommend:

Just pour the coffee out>wash the cup>pour a fresh cup of coffee>add sugar. Make sure it's sugar before putting it in the coffee! Gee whiz! Just sayin....
